Terms and Conditions

Welcome to StashKo (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using our mobile app, web app, or related services (collectively, the “Service,” and together the “Apps”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.


1. Use of the Service

  • StashKo allows you to back up, access, and manage your media files.
  • You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details.

2. User Content

  • You retain ownership of any photos, videos, or files you upload.
  • By uploading content, you give us permission to store, process, optimize, and deliver your files to you through the Apps as needed to provide the Service.
  • In normal operation, this is handled by automated systems (for example, storing, moving, and transcoding files). Access to your media content is limited to your account, except where disclosure or access is required by law.
  • We always store your original files. For quicker viewing online, we may deliver an optimized version, but when you download your files you will always receive the original, uncompressed version.
  • You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.

3. Storage and Availability

  • Storage limits apply based on your selected plan.
  • Free plan accounts include 30GB of storage. Paid plans may provide additional storage.
  • If you exceed your plan’s storage limit, your account will switch to read-only mode. You will not be able to upload new files until you either:
    • Upgrade to a larger plan, or
    • Delete some files to bring your usage back under your plan’s limit.
  • If your account remains over the storage limit for 15 days, we may begin permanently deleting media to enforce your storage limit, subject to applicable law.
  • Files you choose to delete will be moved to a Deleted section for 7 days. After this period, they may be permanently removed from our systems and cannot be recovered. You also have the option to purge or permanently delete these files immediately through the Apps.
  • StashKo requires an internet connection. Offline access to files is not supported, as content is delivered securely through Content Delivery Networks.

4. Payments (if applicable)

  • Paid subscriptions and billing features are coming soon. We will not charge users for the initial 30GB free plan, and we will provide advance notice before introducing paid subscription options with higher storage.
  • Payment methods and third-party processors will be announced once billing is available.
  • Refund policies are coming soon and will be posted before paid subscriptions are fully launched.

5. Privacy

  • Our collection and use of your information is described in ourPrivacy Policy, available within the Apps and on our website.
  • By using the Service, you agree to the handling of your data as described there.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • You are responsible for maintaining backups of your files.
  • We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or corruption of your files.
  • The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, service interruptions, unauthorized access, corruption, failure of storage, transmission errors, revenue loss, or business opportunities.

7. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • An account is considered terminated when a user requests deletion through the Apps (e.g., selecting “Delete My Account”) or when we permanently disable the account due to a violation of these Terms.
  • Upon termination of your account, we will:
    • Purge and permanently delete all media remaining on your account, in accordance with the data retention rules outlined in Section 3.
    • Remove your email and login credentials, ending all access to the Service.
    • Retain only limited records (such as payment history) as required for accounting, auditing, and legal compliance.

8. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time.
  • If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Apps or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
